Getting Started
You can access Teacher Assist from the Google waffle or directly using this link:
https://gs.generalaudittool.com/apps/teachers/dashboard
From the Google waffle, scroll down the list of applications and click on the GAT+ icon
Click the LOGIN button, then click on Teacher Assist.
Dashboard
The dashboard shows details of the previous classroom sessions
- Last sessions list – list of the previous classroom or group sessions
- Last session details – the last session details
Starting a new session
- From the left menu bar click Courses. This will show a new card view of the Google Classrooms and Teacher Assist Groups assigned to you.
- Click on the Start session button at the bottom right corner of the Classroom.
- Enter the length of your class session and click Confirm. The default setting is 45 minutes.
- Click on the Settings gear for a menu of actions to take for the whole class or selected students.
- Click on the arrow on the top right of a student card to take an action on a specific student.
- Although the session will automatically end at the time you specified (the time remaining will appear at the top right of the window), you should click the Exit session button when you are finished so that you are not affecting the student for their next class.
